We're proud to announce that Uniferon® 100 and Uniferon® 200 is
now available on the US market.
As distribution partner in the US, Pharmacosmos has appointed
Ivesco, a major distribution company which has serviced the swine
industry for more than 50 years.
Launch of Uniferon ends US vet iron shortages
Pharmacosmos has been supplying the US market with high quality,
FDA approved raw materials in iron dextran since the early 1980s,
but supplies of veterinary injectable iron dextran products in the
US have been inconsistent in recent years due to the problems
associated with previous manufacturers to consistently meet FDA
requirements.
The FDA approval and subsequent US launch of Uniferon should
effectively end these shortages.
Pharmacosmos is of course committed to the high standards of FDA
compliance and looks forward to ensure an uninterrupted supply of
US domestically manufactured quality veterinary iron. This way,
regular buying patterns can be re-established for American swine
producers and veterinarians.
Strengthened global position
The US is one of the world's largest markets for swine
production with breeding stock about 5.8 million head and pig
production of 115 million head annually.
President and CEO of Pharmacosmos A/S, Lars Christensen, states
